Shannon Motors shares how partnering with Blytz helped modernize collections with text-to-pay
Shannon Motors manages approximately 1,600 active accounts and an $18 million portfolio across multiple Rhode Island locations. As the company continued expanding its leasing business, the team needed a payments and collections platform that could improve operational efficiency while delivering a better customer experience.
"We needed an alternative to what we had been using for payments to become a more efficient company. What Blytz offered gave us everything we had hoped for," said Bob Zeserson, Controller and Chief Compliance Officer at Shannon Motors.
After making the switch to Blytz, the company streamlined daily reconciliation, improved collections workflows, and introduced text-to-pay as part of its customer communication strategy.
“It's been a seamless transition to get daily reports from Blytz that match the AMS report,” added Zeserson. “From an accounting perspective, it's made a much easier job of reconciliation.”
Zeserson also noted that Blytz helped create a more efficient collections process by giving the team new ways to engage customers through text-based communication.
Beyond the technology itself, Zeserson says the relationship has become more than a typical vendor partnership.
“I don’t really refer to Blytz as a vendor,” he said. “They are a valuable business partner to us, and it’s a joy to work with the whole team.”
